By: Ranju Kumar

Out of body experiences are often preceded by lucid dream states though other types of immediate experiences are also there. A vast majority of cases however are those where the subject was either asleep or on the verge of sleeping when they had such astral experiences. Common feature in most of these cases have been the absence of deep slumber. Subjects were mostly having light sleep either due to illness, intervening noise problems or emotional stress. Frequent re-awakening has been the feature of sleep in case of such people.

Spontaneous Astral Projection And Near Death Experience

Many others like Sylvan Muldoon, Salvador Dali, and Robert Peterson also used similar astral techniques. An idea state for sleep paralysis, the state is ideal for out of body experience.

Trance, Meditation, and Visualization - Proponents of astral projection across the globe believe on trance, meditation, and visualization as the potent sources for having the out of body experiences. Difficulties in use of the system are that they involve high level of concentration as well as dedication. People who are not easily able to relax may find the technique real hard to implement. Golden Dawn body of light is one of the techniques used commonly by those who wish to have out of body experience.

External Induction Process - External inductions are often carried out using the mechanical tools. For instance, the brainwave synchronization could be achieved using audio-video stimulants. Brain wave frequencies could be tapped conveniently in the people having physical sleep with the mind remaining alert. Mind wake beta frequencies could be extremely useful in achieving the desired results. Rites, rituals and religious functions may also enhance you receptivity to other worlds.

These are not all. There are multiple other methods are used including the magnetic stimulations, electrical stimulation, or sensory deprivation. However the aim is common, to learn about the astral projection and have the first hand unique experience.
