The innovations and improvement of technology in our way of life has also put a strain on our environment which we have no other means but to deal with. Our soils and water ways are polluted with chemicals and even the air that we breathe increases its harmful contents year after year. In addition, our natural food sources are also being prepared or even altered with special chemicals, flavorings and colorings. This means that we deal with harmful toxins everyday inside and out straining our health hugely. One may not yet feel the effects of toxins because it is usually cumulative and interferes with the metabolic processes of the body and causing various allergies. In this light we need to contrast our long term exposure to toxins which can greatly affect our immune system. There is a process called detoxification. This refers to a way of cleansing the major organs of the body including kidneys, lungs, liver, blood and bowels. This is the most efficient way on how one could eliminate their toxin build up. Although detoxification could be done even through a simple measure of drinking water and eating the recommended amount of fiber, fruits and vegetables there is a higher level of detoxifying and that is through fasting. Medical experts are cautioning dieters not to over consume products just to maximize detoxification. Some people are referring to diuretics and laxatives just to fasten the phase. This is deemed harmful for it is possible that the body may be stripped off of its natural nutrients. Everyone is susceptible for toxin build up that is why regular cleansing or detoxification is indeed a requirement. Nevertheless we also need to practice a daily habit of eating the right type of foods and engaging in physical activities such as exercise. Eating foods that are high in fiber can help the body develop more good bacteria that are essential for proper digestion. Fiber has the ability to absorb fats and cholesterol in the body and eliminating through bowel movements. This food source is found in whole grain foods, cereal, oats, bran, some fruits such as apples, pears, bananas, avocadoes and vegetables such as cabbage, cauliflower, legumes and some nuts, such as almonds, cashew and beans. Exercise is needed to increase our metabolic rate and benefit ourselves of a much sounder body. Any physical activity is also acceptable including walking, jogging, sports or even as simple as gardening. We are all aware that it can increase our immune system, lower our blood glucose and resulting of toxin elimination through sweating. Remember that it is necessary to replace those fluids by drinking plenty of water. Hence, if all individuals would only engage themselves in a daily diet of healthy foods and a few minutes of their time for a regular fitness regimen then a grave program of detoxification or cleansing is not needed. These habits are equivalent to a gradual but daily process of eliminating our bodily toxins easily and safely.
